The show was was pretty good...I enjoyed it. Hex Noir had an improved sound with the addition of a guitar full stack. They sounded full and nasty. Nukkehammer played next, I think the set was solid and gross. Ashdautus played a delayed out, psychadelic type of black metal, apparently in the style that the "Twilight" bands are known for. Pretty interesting stuff. Singer looked pretty silly though, wearing a robe, a-la Messiah Marcolin of Candlemass. Their set was a couple songs too long, for my taste. Bone Awl sounded exactly as I had hoped. Mechanical and pounding drums, crappy sounding guitar. I thought they were great. Volahn played last, unfortunately, probably a little too late, since most people had left by then. Really good instrumentation, great drumming and guitar playing, I guess it reminded me of later Emperor. The only bum out of the night was that the next day, I found out that the 3 touring bands had to be kicked out of Carabar's after hours for being total assholes. That was really disappointing to hear since the owners and staff of Carabar are really nice.
How was this show? Any reports?
